MCS opening event on 29.09.25 - A milestone for zero-emission road freight

Within the HoLa project, we inaugurated the first public Megawatt Charging System (MCS) point for battery-electric trucks in Germany at the Lipperland Süd motorway rest area near Bielefeld on 29 September 2025.
This marks the first time that megawatt charging was demonstrated under real-world public conditions. Together with partners from industry, research, and politics, including Parliamentary State Secretary Christian Hirte (Federal Ministry for Transport), we showed that the technology is ready for daily operation.
