"European Symposium on Truck Megawatt Charging" in Berlin 6th & 7th March 2024

We are thrilled to announce the upcoming European Symposium on Megawatt Charging for Battery Electric Trucks in Europe, organized as part of the "HoLa – High Performance Charging for Long-Haul Trucking" project. This event aims to bring together leading experts, researchers, industry professionals, and policymakers to explore and shape the future of high-power charging infrastructure for battery electric trucks.

Programme MCS Symposium

Currently we have over 270 registrations from 19 countries, mainly Germany and Sweden. Representatives of truck manufacturers, research institutions, infrastructure operators and government have registered. Many of them will also be giving presentations, including Traton, Milence, Fraunhofer, the University of Weimar, ICCT and ABB.

The programme includes high-quality presentations and discussion panels and offers opportunities for networking. Relevant topics relating to megawatt charging will be presented, including:

  • Technology & Standardisation
  • Economics and grid connection
  • Political design
  • Acceptance
  • MCS demand in Germany and Europe

As examples, there will be presentations and discussion panels comprising presentations on the following topics:

  • Latest charging infrastructure research, with a focus on megawatt charging
  • MCS charger evolution - Where we are, standardization
  • Overview of DC charging standardization activities and in particular the status quo of the MCS standard
  • Integration of Charging Infrastructure into the Distribution Grid
  • Organizational model for charging infrastructure
  • MCS project in Sweden
  • And more

Structure: In-person discussions only. We do not plan to produce proceedings afterwards

Price: No symposium fee, but the optional dinner on March 6th will be paid privately.
